Problem Statement

A beam of length L = 10 m is subjected to a distributed load as shown where w0 = 35 kN/m. Determine the magnitude of the deflection at x = 0.55L. Assume EI = 15,000 kN-m2.

A beam of length L is subjected to the distributed load w as defined by the equation w = w0sin(x*pi/L).
