Problem Statement

Plot the shear force and bending moment diagrams for the loading shown. Assume w1 = 2 kip/ft and w2 = 4 kip/ft. What is the maximum absolute shear force and maximum absolute bending moment?

A beam is subjected to a non-unform distributed load, w1 at A and w2 at B with supports at B and C. The distance between A and B is 4 ft, the distance between B and C is 5 ft and the distance between C and D is 4 ft.
