Problem Statement

A beam is subjected to the loading shown, where w = 60 lb/ft and F = 400 lb. Determine the internal shear force and bending moment at section a-a.

A beam is subjected to a distributed load, w between A and B. A force, F, is applied at C. The distance between A and B is 6ft and the distance between B and C is 2 ft. Section a-a is 3 ft from A.
